To use Jimdo, all you need is a computer, an internet connection, and a web browser. We recommend using the Google Chrome web browser because it updates automatically. Jimdo also works with most major browsers, as you can see in the list to the right.
To use the Jimdo mobile app, you need a smartphone / iPhone or a tablet / iPad.

Our mobile app offers many options for editing your website on the go. There are limitations, however, so please use the editor on a computer to take full advantage of all Jimdo functions and features.
Other System Requirements
When you visit websites on the Internet, the data will be saved as a "cookie". You will need to activate cookies in your browser if you haven't already.
Flash Player and Security Software
If you still experience problems, try deactivating your internet security software (e.g. ad blocker, script blocker, or firewall). Browser add-ons can also cause the editor to not work properly.
Tips for Common Problems
Clear the Browser Cache
If you are not seeing your website or the changes you've made, try clearing your browser's cache. This will allow you to view the most updated version of your website.

Photo Uploading Error
If you are using Firefox, you may find that you are not able to open the photo selector to upload photos to a Store Item or Photo Gallery element. This is due to an error with the current version of Mozilla Firefox (32.0.1 and 33).
We recommend using Google Chrome until the error is fixed in a future version of Firefox.
